Overview

Ocho Rios` first tourist (one Christopher Columbus) wasn`t wrong when he desribed this as "the fairest land mine eyes have ever seen" A land whose mountainous coastline climbs straight out of the Caribbean, and whose bays and coves strech all the way from Runaway Bay to Ocho Rios itself.

Driving through Fern Gully you encounter more than 500 varieties of fern, many seen nowhere else in the world. Or climb to the top of Dunn`s River Falls and see why the Spanish originally named the place "Las Chorreras" (The Waterfalls). See why Noel Coward was so moved by Ocho Rios that he moved here. Honeymoon

We spent our honeymoon in Ocho Rio at the Sandels Grande. It was wonderful. We climbed Dunns River Fall,went horseback riding in the ocean, and down the mountain. We also shopped at the craft market. Our tour guides were excellent, they were knowledgeable, and entertaining. Visit Ocho Rio you will Love It!

We booked a trip to Ocho Rios for August 11th - 18th. We will be alright as far as weather patterns? Or did we make a big mistake?

Visiting Jamaica

I am planning on visiting Jamaica this summer along with a group of friends. We are looking for an affordable guest house or condo in Runaway Bay or Ocho Rios. If anyone can recommend a great reasonably priced hotel i would appreciate.
