It is an indigenous Jamaican tradition. On the topic of religion I am in agreement that sisters and brothers in Jamaica are of one of the twelve tribes of Israel, however we as Israelites in certain parts of America believe that Yahshua (hamashiak) is the eve-lasting king ruler over the earth. Yah gave his son the authority to rule over man and earth. Even though we are all as Israelites Yahweh's first loved, but we have to keep in mind that Yahshua came also for the gentile to receive salvation.
