 Wonderful Vacation!!!

My son and I went from JUly 4-10. This is a really nice friendly resort. It is small which is a plus. Everyone knows you very quickly. The rooms are very comfortable. We had a great room the was oceanfront and we could not ask for more. There was no one bothering you to buy trinkets, etc. The food is just OK(but we are very picky). It is not that it was bad just not alot of what we liked. The beach is rocky but beautiful. What makes this place outstanding is the service. Not only of your own personal Nanny but everyone from the bartenders to the Taxi drivers were friendly and very helpful. Glistening waters is about a 3 minute ride and well worth it. Overall this is a wonderful place that makes you feel right at home. You can relax as much as you want and never leave the property or go and do something everyday. I would recommend this place to anyone with children. My son(5 years old) loved his Nanny and everything else.

We stayed for 5 nights-6days, which was more than enough!! We probably could have stayed longer if it had not been for the food. It basically started at o.k. and the went down hill from there!!The resort itself is beautiful, very clean and with ten-fifteen hours of activity's for the kids. Our 5 year old LOVED IT!! She was thrilled with our Nanny, as a matter of fact, she wanted to take her home with us. Our 8 year old did not use her that much, he made friends immediately, which is easy to do, because of the smallness and intimacy of the resort. We knew everyone by name or face within 2 days. Some things we can reitterate off of this site. Bring a few white T-shirts fo tye-dying and some bug spray just in case. Not too bad for us, but for others, a mess!! Water shoes are a must as the beach is fine, but wading into the water leaves you with cuts and scrapes from the rocks. Basically we loved the resort but would NOT go back because of the horrible quality of the food. Yes, it was that bad!! They had hamburgers, fries and pizza, and all of it was unetible!! We did visit, or sneak into, 2 other resorts just to eat something and it was not fine, but great food!! The hi-lite of one day was just to eat a grilled cheese at the Starfish 80 yards away down the beach. Safe, very safe with no problems or concerns on our part. Hope this helps, have a great time and pack some extra food, you'll need it!
Not For Grandparents

Yes FDR Pebbles is a lovely place to stay if you have children. It is well provided for the children. Lots of activities, etc. for them. But, if you are a grandparent and just wants to get away for a rest. This is not place to go. We all love our grandchildren greatly but there is a time when you have to relax. The breakfast and lunch meals are excellent. But, the supper meal may be a little too exotic, at times. But nice though. The dinner meal at Starfish (next door) is much better. Stayed at both places. Every nice for families though.
