The Verandah Restaurant - Situated on the boardwalk over the ocean, this breezy restaurant serves international cuisine in a welcoming family atmosphere. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, while dinner offers à la carte dishes five nights a week and special buffets the other two evenings.

The Pier Restaurant - Dinner at this adults-only Italian restaurant is a treat at the end of a lovely day. The romantic Pier stands at the ocean's edge, where the sounds of gentle waves lapping the shore perfectly complement the setting and the delightful cuisine.

Beach Grill - The Beach Grill serves popular Jamaican specialties like beef patties, mouthwatering jerk pork, and jerk chicken, all simmered in a guest’s choice of spicy or not-so-spicy sauces. All-time favorites such as pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, and salads from a fresh salad bar always hit the mark.

The Kids' Buffet - After an energetic day in the sun and the sea, kids can expect a great spread at this specially tailored buffet. A well-balanced meal is served on appropriately sized tables, featuring kid-friendly dishes such as spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, soups, healthy salads, and the old standby, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Recreation

FDR prides itself on its carefully designed recreation program, which allows guests of all age groups to explore new activities safely and with as much attention as they desire.

Kids can take soccer and snorkeling lessons, splash in the wading pool, and get creative in the arts-and-crafts center, all under the watchful eye of their vacation nanny.

Teens can compete in a kayak race, try reggae dancing, surf the Web in the cyber center, or learn to scuba dive.

Adults can do all this and more, playing tennis day and night, hitting the greens across the street, taking an aerobics class, or learning to sail a Sunfish. Instruction for all age groups is free for activities such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving.

The Franklyn D. Resort features 76 comfortable guest suites. All have private balconies (most with ocean views), full kitchens, and satellite TV. The price of a vacation nanny who helps care for any child travelers is included in the all-inclusive package.
