Single Guy's View
Reviewer: Jamaica visitor, Long Island, NY

Being a 30 something simgle guy I ventured to this place for a few days. I had the opportunity to spend a few days the same week at HEDO 3 in which the amenities were nicer. HEDO 2 was much more fun from a singles guys perpective. I went but still shocked by so many couples and age groupsfrom 20's to 50's from all over the world. I met plenty of ladies and even made some friends. The staff was fantastic. They will do everything to make you have a good time. Food and drink were great. The rooms are clean but not the sell of this place. This is not a place for a shy person. I ventured to the naked areas and yes it was strange but the great thing about the place is that you can have a great time even if youdon't go to the naked areas. I met plenty of ladies and a few regulars who have gone there for years. The piano bar is cool too. This is a different vacation. If you are single go with no expectaitons join in the activities and you will have a vacation of your life!!

staying here was a bad choice :(

Well, just got back from a week at Hedo II, and I must say that for the first time in 5 visits to Jamaica(all within the last 16 months) I was actaully happy to leave. Here are the good and bad:The good - the guests were really fun and we made great friends, the entertainment workers are really fun and could motivate anyone, Munahana had great foodThe Bad - we were pressured on more than one occasion to tip employees on this no tipping allowed resort, the bartenders in the main bar (textile side) were very rude and often slow to serve even when there were no other people waiting (we were denied a hummingbird one night at about 9:00Pm becuase the man said he had just cleaned the blender so we should order a beer instead), when checking into our room, we found about 500 ants in the second bed (yuk!!!) and were told the resort was at full capacity so they would change the sheets and spray for bugs but could not give us a diffrent room, this was at 1:00 in the afternoon. I hate bugs, and I told them there was no way. If we could not get another room, I would go stay somewhere else, they gave us a new room but were very rude about it and made me feel bad for making them rearrange us.

Later that day I found out they were actaully less than 50% capacity, nice :( Other than that, there was one major factor that I disliked the most of anything, and that was safety. Plain and simple I did not feel safe in this resort. Many of the groundskeepers were in a bad mood and some made comments towards my girlfriend that would get you slapped or worse in a regualr US city.Once we realized that Hedo II was not for us I asked for a tour of Grand Lido Negril to see about going there for our next trip. we were told that tours were available at 10:00 and 3:00. we went at 10:00 and were told it was 10:05 so we need to come back at 3:00. we came at 3:00 and were told they were too busy to give us a tour so we would need to try again the next day at 10:00 (we would be home by then) Oh well I guess they didn't want my futurehave not have a bad word to say until hedo, I am not a complaining kind of person. I did not go to hedo to stay in a luxury hotel with 5 star food, so please don't assume I hadn't checked up about what we were getting into. The service and level and way we were treated here is unacceptable. I would not suggest this resort. I will go back to Sandals next time where I know it is safe, clean and the people who work there will be friendly to us. Aaron

fun fun fun!

This place is all about the people/guests--not about the amenities, although that hot tub that can hold 355 naked people is a strong draw!Don't go looking for five-star quality in anything--but do go to have a flat-out party good time no matter what age or proclivity you have. Singles and couples are there, and though single men vastly outnumber the single women, many go home with incredible tales if they have good social skills. Read more about how to make the most of a trip there in the 384-page travel/humor book "The Naked Truth About Hedonism II." Folks who think spraying silly string on a friend's genitals is sophomoric shouldn't go.
