 Romantic wonderland

Rock House in Negril was the most fun and romantic vacation I have ever experienced. It is small, no kids, quiet, peaceful, wonderfully romantic, and the restaurant has the most delicious food imagineable! You can also receive massages, etc. The bar at the pool is great, the salt water pool is so refreshing. The entire time we were there, no more than 5 or 6 people were at the pool. The outdoor shower was fun, and the huts were great--having the air conditioner was a plus. All members of the staff were wonderful. Being able to dive off of the cliff next to your bungalow when you first wake up in the morning is great. I would love to go back again. While in Negril, we checked out all of the other hotels, and nothing even came close to the perfection of Rock House!
Rock House, Rugged Luxury

After a very stressful winter, I needed to retreat and refuel. Rock House Hotel was ideal. Leaving the airport and driving the 1 1/2 hours to Negril, I could feel my tension slipping away, lush greenery and ocean views on either side. The hotel sits on the cliffs, there is no beach, there are stairs cut out of the rocks that lead directly into the water. The infinity pool hangs over the rocks with a view of the horizon for watching sunsets. The food was amazing; grilled fish salads and mango daquiries or a Red Stripe beer. Our cottage stood alone, with caves full of crashing water underneath us. From my bed, I could open my eyes and see the ocean. The private outdoor shower in the cottage was very liberating, if a bit rugged. The mosqito net and flowers on the bed at turndown were a nice touch. My stress disappeared and romance replaced it. I will definitely go back next year.

The Rockhouse was great fun. The cliff top setting is spectacular and the electric blue water is absolutely enticing. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I definately recommend this place.
