I stayed at the Wyndham Rose Hall with my family from 12th to 26th August 2003 on an all inclusive basis. DO NOT take any notice of the negative reviews you read about this place. What's wrong with some people these days? The Whole hotel was excellent, the rooms were spotless, they were cleaned to a high standard daily, the staff were very polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for these people, food at all times was to a high standard with lots of variety, the swimming pools were clean and well maintained, kids and adults entertainment throughout the day was more than adequate, but could do better on an evenening. My main worry was the card system and possible delays at the bars but it definately was not a problem we were served imediately at all times. Gregory at the pool bar was Brilliant, always there with a smile and made each session one to remember, Give the man a pay rise, he deserves it! The beach was nice and clean although the water becomes slightly milky on some days. but still a joy to swim in. Wherever people stay faults can be found, but people who have stayed at the Wyndham and found excessive faults need to get a life and start to enjoy it.
Stayed at the Wyndham from Sept.3-6,2003 doing the all-inclusive plan. Briefly giving my opinion I found the Wyndham to be a very beautiful resort with one of the best pool complexes in the Caribbean. Rooms were modern with cold a/c and cleaned daily. The staff was friendly and helpful. Food was ok,nothing special but standing in line, then showing your card and then signing was alittle bit of a hassle. Stayed at other All-inclusives where I found the "arm-band system" much more preferable and easier. Drinks were ok only hassle was at times finding the open hotel bars and once again the carding/signing for your drinks. Water sports activities/equipment was available but limited. No jet ski's, no parasailing, no paddle boats, no water cycles, this was a real disappointment! The beach was small and narrow with rocks/sea weeds scattered about :( Nightly entertainment was weak and lacking enough acts to really entertain anyone, based on our previous experiences at other resorts. Overall my stay at the Wyndham was nice but in the future I'll choose another resort in Jamaica to vacation at!
I just got back from the Wyndham Rose Hall in montego bay, jamaica yesterday and I was very excited to come write an honest review of the hotel. I have been checking and reading everyones reviews every day for the past month and I dont know what anyone could complain about unless they are just impossible to please. Wyndham by request is a must, we paid for an ocean view and got upgraded to a two room suite for free. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are not incredible but they are nice. Everything else about the place makes up for that. All of the workers are very nice and do whatever you want to make your stay enjoyable. All of the restaurants are wonderful. You are in a different country so it might have a slightly different taste to it, but it is good. We at at the Terrance most of the time because it has a buffet for breakfast and dinner. The waterpark is also out of this world, you will be suprised where you will find a hot tub or small pool. The beach isnt that big, but it is nice. It is a bit rocky for the first few feet, but after that it is fine. We took aqua socks, so it didnt bother us. The water is a bit murky by the beach, but if you go out a ways it gets clear and you can snorkel all you want. There is not much to see, but I had a blast. I do recommend you get out and go other places while you are there, we went on the tropical dreamer cruise, and had a blast. We also hired a personal driver and went to negril and had an awesome time. The snorkling is out of this world. So this is my two cents it is a worderful resort and hotel. I wasnt expecting anything like it because of the mixed reviews, so dont listen to the bad ones, I dont know what is wrong with some people. One more thing, GO ALL-INCLUSIVE, especially if you plan on drinking because food and drinks everywhere are pretty expensive. So have fun and remember NO PROBLEM, EVERYTHINGS IRIE MON!!!!! |
