Jamaica > Montego Bay > Hotels > Moderate HotelsMost Expensive | Expensive | Inexpensive | All InclusiveDoctor's Cave Beach HotelThis hotel stands across from Doctor's Cave Beach, the busiest and most crowded (but also the best) beach in the Montego Bay area. The three-story property offers decent value, though it lies in the bustle of the town's commercial zone-so it's not recommended for isolationists, who might prefer Sea Castles. This hotel does offer extensive tropical gardens, however, as an oasis. The well-maintained rooms are simply but comfortably furnished, and suites have kitchenettes. Rooms are rated standard or superior-the latter are more spacious and each has a balcony opening onto a view. All units have tile floors, queen or twin beds, and small but efficiently organized tiled bathrooms with combination tubs/showers. At its two restaurants, the food is more authentic than at the resorts recommended above. Gloucester Ave. (P.O. Box 94). Montego Bay. 90 units. Winter $145-J155 double; $170 suite. Off-season $120-$130 double; $150 suite. Extra person $35. MAP (breakfast and dinner) $29 per person extra. AE, DC, MC, V. Amenities: Restaurant; bar. In room: A/C, TV, hair dryer on request.
